The Twin Pillars of Account Scaling

In Melvor Idle 2, individual skill levels dictate what items you can produce, but Agility and Astrology dictate how fast and efficiently your entire account operates. These two disciplines are the ultimate force multipliers, providing layers of percentage modifiers that elevate baseline performance across all 29 skills.

Whether you are seeking to maximize millions of gold per hour in our AFK Money Making Guide or push deeper into the endgame dungeons, optimizing your Agility obstacle course and Astrology star charts is non-negotiable.

Agility: The Custom Obstacle Course

Agility allows you to construct a 10-tier obstacle course. Each tier offers 3 to 4 distinct obstacle choices. Every obstacle provides potent positive bonuses alongside a balanced negative penalty. The art of Agility lies in selecting combinations where the negative penalties do not interfere with your primary account focus.

Top Obstacle Recommendations by Tier

  • Tier 1 (Level 1): Rope Climb (+3% Global Skill XP, -2% Combat Attack Speed). Perfect for non-combat leveling phases.
  • Tier 2 (Level 10): Stepping Stones (+4% Fishing and Cooking Speed, -3% Fletching Speed).
  • Tier 3 (Level 20): Pipe Climb (+5% Mining Speed, -2% Thieving Stealth).
  • Tier 4 (Level 30): Coal Pit (+8% Coal Mining Chance, -5% Woodcutting XP).
  • Tier 5 (Level 40): Balance Beam (+5% Global Resource Preservation, -10 Max Hitpoints).
  • Tier 6 (Level 50): Lake Crossing (+6% Double Catch in Fishing, +3% Food Healing, -2% Melee Accuracy).
  • Tier 7 (Level 60): Spike Trap (+5% Thieving Success, -5% Farming Yield).
  • Tier 8 (Level 70): Rooftop Jump (+5% Global Action Speed, +3% Enemy Damage Taken). Great for fast skilling.
  • Tier 9 (Level 80): Rope Swing (+8% Damage Reduction vs Bosses, -5% Non-combat Skill Speed). Non-negotiable for boss raids.
  • Tier 10 (Level 90): Waterfall Leap (+10% Mastery XP across all skills, -15 Flat HP).

Course Pillars (Level 99 Milestone)

Once all 10 obstacles are built, you unlock the Agility Pillar slot:

  • Pillar of Combat: +5% Damage Reduction, +10% Combat Accuracy.
  • Pillar of Generosity: +15% Global GP from all sources, stacking directly with the systems in our Township & Bank Management Guide.
  • Pillar of Mastery: +8% Global Mastery Token Drop Rate.

Astrology: Charting the Heavens

Astrology is a pure passive gathering skill. By studying star clusters, your character harvests two currencies: standard Stardust (used to unlock minor modifier slots) and Golden Stardust (used to reroll high-magnitude percentage modifiers).

Constellation bonuses are completely free of negative penalties, making Astrology pure upside for your account.

High-Priority Constellations Matrix

Constellation Unlocks At Focus Area Top 3 Modifiers to Target Max Value
Ameria Level 1 Fishing & Cooking Fishing Speed, Double Catch, Food Healing +5% Each
Terra Level 20 Mining & Smithing Mining Speed, Coal Doubling, Bar Preservation +5% Each
Vale Level 40 Melee Combat Melee Accuracy, Melee Strength, Damage Reduction +5% / +4% DR
Rosania Level 60 Thieving & Beastcraft Stealth Rating, Pelt Double Yield, Craft Speed +6% / +5%
Qimner Level 80 Magic & Ranged Magic Damage, Ranged Accuracy, Rune Preservation +6% Each
Syphilis Level 95 Global Utility Global XP, Mastery Token Drop, Action Speed +5% / -0.2s

Stardust Rerolling Strategy

  1. Never Waste Golden Stardust on Minor Clusters: Save your Golden Stardust until you have leveled a constellation to level 80+. Early rerolls are wasted when higher-tier modifier tiers are still locked.
  2. Lock In 4% and 5% Rolls: When rerolling, lock in any 4% or 5% modifier immediately. Hunting for pure 5% rolls across all three slots can burn tens of thousands of stardust.
  3. Synchronize with Weather: Take advantage of the night bonuses documented in our Day-Night & Weather Guide to generate stardust at accelerated rates.

[!TIP] Before attempting challenging dungeons, swap Tier 1 and Tier 8 Agility obstacles away from penalties that increase incoming monster damage. A seemingly harmless -3% penalty can easily push a boss's max hit past your auto-eat line!
